Been very busy, new release coming soon

I know I've been away for some time, but my excuse is simply that I needed to get back to work on completing the fourth book in my Mersey Mystery series, so I effectively cut myself off from other matters in order to concentrate on the last few chapters of A MERSEY MARINER.
Working closely with my Beta Reader, Debbie Poole, I finally completed the final chapter last week and together, we gave it a final check before i sent the completed manuscript to my publisher. so, the book is now in the hands of Creativia for laying out and eventual release, which should be within the next few weeks.
The longest of the Mersey Mysteries so far, A Mersey Mariner has undergone no less than eleven checks/edits before being submitted to Creativia, so it's my hope that very little work will be needed at their end before the book's release. I'd also like to say a great big thank you to Debbie whose work in helping to get the book completed with the minimum of errors has been incalculable.

So, what's it all about? you may ask. Here's a brief synopsis of the book that I hope will have you all rushing to place your orders when the book is made available for preorders!

The ageing cargo liner Alexandra Rose steamed into the Mersey Estuary, enveloped in thick fog that delayed her entry into the port of Liverpool. When one of the ship’s passengers is found dead in his cabin, it sets in motion a train of events that leads to one of Detective Inspector Andy Ross’s most baffling and complicated cases to date. The first death is soon followed by another, and Ross soon discovers that his case has its roots in the depths of the Amazonian Rainforest in Brazil. A billionaire entrepreneur, passengers who may not be exactly who or what they say they are, a team of medical researchers and a team of vicious mercenaries combine to confound and complicate what begins as a simple death aboard a nondescript and insignificant ship. Ross and his team from the Merseyside Police Specialist Murder Investigation team need all their skills in order to solve the case of the ‘Mersey Mariner.’
