Another wonderful book from a first class writer. I decided to start reading it in the hairdressers. Mistake! You feel rather foolish sitting sniffling into a tissue with tears running down your face. Only a person with a very hard heart could fail to be moved to tears with the start of the book when the young dog, cruelly abused and starved is not expected to live. But that is before she was adopted by the author and his wonderful family (human and canine) who were determined to love her back to health. I would not have thought it possible to write a whole book just about a dog, but (as he did with his earlier book Sasha) the author holds you spellbound from the first page to the last. If you love dogs, you will love this book. If you are neutral about dogs, but love truly heartwarming inspiring stories, this is a book for you. Very highly recommended.
